Create a setting in the recruitment process where an email alert can be sent based on days in a certain status

What is the business process you are trying to achieve?

Recruiters would like to be notified via email when a candidate is in a certain status for more than 1 day. Currently, there is a bell icon on the dashboard signaling an alert, but this can get overlooked so an email would be preferred.
