Wait List - Priorities, movements and communication

Wait List - Priorities, movements and communication

What is the business process you are trying to achieve?
make the wait list feature function more user friendly by automatically moving the top priority waitlist when a spot becomes available. Also, currently even when a waitlist is manually moved to booked, they do not receive any communication, schedule, calendar invite, location etc. Comms should be sent (A new development activity has been added.. standard system template) each time a booking happens, even if it is via clearing of the waitlist. A Notification email to be sent to the employee who is at the top of the wait list for a learning activity when there is a new timeslot is added or available. Separate the wait list out of the general attendees list. Leave the wait list area below, keep both areas searchable and retain the bulk communicate function for the wait list. subani.kumar@courts.vic.gov.au learning.development@waternsw.com.au soliman.elhammamy@vt.uniting.org kimbreb@wwu.edu kyle.keevers@industry.gov.au carolyn.buxton@porterdavis.com.au jjmgfamanila@stlukes.com.ph christine.hofbauer@artscentremelbourne.com.au bonita.gover@anglicarevic.org.au stephne.puddy@dwrcymru.com hruddell@uoregon.edu Lyndsey.Jones@dwrcymru.com rachael.gallway@industry.gov.au rebecca.melevende@porterdavis.com.au carmel.barry@courts.vic.gov.au daniel.devuono@courts.vic.gov.au lisa.stephens@courts.vic.gov.au lucinda.taylor@knox.vic.gov.au jjmgfamanila@stlukes.com.ph katrina.aabryn@porterdavis.com.au rebecca.melevende@porterdavis.com.au bonita.gover@anglicarevic.org.au yagnapriya5@gmail.com subani.kumar@courts.vic.gov.au rachael.gallway@industry.gov.au sharon_yeo@sutd.edu.sg adeline_wang@sutd.edu.sg lisa.hester@industry.gov.au kamr@pageuppeople.com kyle.keevers@industry.gov.au bonita.gover@anglicarevic.org.au hruddell@uoregon.edu rebecca.melevende@porterdavis.com.au amalan@uoregon.edu We have internal courses which we have not yet scheduled new dates and times for. It would be helpful for staff to be waitlisted at the course/activity level and not just at activity/event/timeslot level. Maybe update the activity page with an option to waitlist at activity or event/timelot level julia.dale@knox.vic.gov.au "We use the learning event scheduling calendar to schedule a specific number of seats for an annual health screening. Because everyone is fasting they all want their appointments in the first hour. magnussenm2@citadel.edu If we have the ability to turn off the wait list for specific events, this will limit the number of folks to the set limit for the time slot. If we don't do this, everyone will sign up for the first hour and be wait listed causing an over booking situation. The same is true for specific learning activities. If we want to have a small class, we have to have the ability to turn off wait listing to limit the class size. "

The ability for the system to automatically move people from the wait list to booked would be very beneficial and would remove the manual administration of this process.

have the option to disable the 'waiting list' option. Have the option to decline a waiting list request and provide participants with the option to book into another session without having to remove the course from their profile.
