Recruitment Status-Establish a Time Delay in Status Notification on Portal

We're looking for consistency in notification of the status update.

What is the business process you are trying to achieve?

Set delay action on recruitment status to not only be for email, but for portal notification. Even though we set a 3-day delay for the email (rejection statuses) to be sent, the portal is immediately updated to state: Application no longer being considered.
