Ability to change question responses on forms without impacting reports

One idea is to create a unique ID for each question response on a form. When building reports, if we want to identify applicants who have selected a specific response, we could use the ID instead of the response name/value.

Another option is to provide a mechanism for mapping question responses to each other. When updating the wording of a response, we would then only need to update the mapping, as opposed to reviewing/updating each report that looks at the question response.

What business value are you trying to achieve?

When we make an update to a question answer on a form, we need to then review/update any reports that look at the value of this question. For example, the federal government recently required that we update the question responses on the voluntary self-identification of disability form. In this case, the basic meaning of each response is not changing, just the wording. It would be great to have the ability to make these wording updates without adversely impacting reports.

Hello Emily, thank you for your submission.

I wanted to check if you have explored the use of User Define Fields (UDFs) on your application form. These UDFs serve as specific data containers for individual applicants, rather than being specific to the entire application. They provide recruiters with the ability to store applicant responses to any custom questions created through the form builder, and link those UDFs to multiple questions across different forms.

If you haven't utilized this feature yet, I have included a relevant Knowledge Portal article on UDFs for your reference. If you require further clarification, feel free to reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM).

For now, I will mark your idea as "More information required" until I receive your response regarding whether this information has helped you achieve your desired outcome.
