Conditional fields on Job Card

Conditional fields on Job Card

What business value are you trying to achieve?
There is currently the ability to have 1 job card only - with no ability to show / hide / auto complete info using conditional fields based on answers to previous questions. Some examples of how this could be used are: a. If reason for recruiting = Replacement, use replacement approvals process b. If answer to question above = yes then do / don't show field Etc. These conditional questions are currently available on the Application forms. Can they please be made available for the Job / Offer Cards as well to assist us to ensure Hiring Managers etc. are correctly & consistently completing all relevant details.

This will be considered as part of our job modernisation initiative, which kicked off this year.

The initiative began with the [Job Menu Structure](https://knowledgeportal.pageuppeople.com/hc/en-gb/articles/35522604689305-Job-menu-structure-Scheduled-for-Beta-4-Sep-2024) scheduled for Beta on 4 Sep 2024, and the [Job Requisition Modernization Styling Uplift](https://knowledgeportal.pageuppeople.com/hc/en-gb/articles/34521609229849-Job-Requisition-Modernisation-Styling-Uplift-Deployed-to-Live-10-Jul-2024) deployed on 10 Jul 2024.

Are there any updates on this? I see the requests go back to 2020. Can this please be made available on the Offer Card? We have an automated process in place currently that uses Power Automate (programmed by me) and Adobe Sign for offer letters. It is a simple if statement that adds conditional content to an offer letter. If answer to question = yes, then insert paragraph, else do nothing. Every business that issues offer letters necessarily runs into this issue, and it would be a huge time saver to many to make this simple solution available. Lots of thanks in advance!

This is highly desirable functionality for TafeSA as well. We are finding that information is either missing or provided in error on requisitions as we do not have the ability to conditionally display fields based on the transaction type. Ability to define the approval conditionally as well would be extremely useful as this is also something that users are entering incorrectly.

Can't emphasise enough how much this is needed. So much manual intervention required by recruiters because we can't easily specify which fields are mandatory if a certain type of requisition is being raised. Is there an ETA on this?

some control over what is actually copied over in a job card would be appreciated. the ability to set which fields are copied and which are flushed e.g. Reason for vacancy must be flushed

could you include OR in the development

i.e. either field meets the requirement of an end date Temporary contract - end date or employment period satisfies the criteria

Thanks for your feedback Shannon and Carrie.

As was recently shared in the product roadmap webinar presented by our Head of Product and Delivery, Josh Centner, we are anticipating commencing work on leveraging the capabilities that we've been building out as part of the Next Gen Position Description module into a Next Gen Job requisition card during the second half of this calendar year. Planning is just commencing on how that work will be delivered, so we will be in a position to share more details around this as that planning progresses.

Yes, this would drastically improve the user experience in PageUp. Looking forward to the position description module being implemented, but more looking forward to when the functionality is rolled out to the job and offer cards.

What is the likely timeframe for the Next Gen Recruitment offering (following the Next Gen PD module) - i.e. when will the conditional questions on the job and offer cards actually be available?

PageUp is currently working on the delivery of our Next Gen Position Description module, which is planned to deliver the building blocks for our Next Gen Recruitment offering in due course.

Details of this initiative, and progress updates can be viewed on this dedicated Knowledge Portal page: https://knowledgeportal.pageuppeople.com/position-description-sandbox/

Once of the key deliverables of the Next Gen Position Description development is to be deliver a solution which makes it easier for our end users to enter relevant data correctly the first time. We are looking to guide users through the process more easily with the addition of features such as conditional questions, enhanced validation, appropriate guidance text etc.

The new Position Description module is being engineered in such a way as to allow PageUp to then progressively roll out similar capabilities to other key areas of the system such as the Job and Offer cards as part of the move towards Next Gen Recruitment.
