Reporting - Hierarchical reporting / org structure reporting

Allow the ability to create reports that any manager can use and it will dynamically display data based on their org structure. In regards to requirements:
- a manager should be able to run a report and see the data that relates to their full hierarchy

- the report needs to be self-service – want to avoid using scheduling to reduce email traffic and promote self service

- Requirement to create one report that can be shared with all managers and displays data relevant to them

As an example I have attached a sample org structure. Based on the attached structure a report should allow the following:

  • When the manager runs it they will see the data for their full team (all supervisors, team leaders, employees and assistant)

  • When Supervisor A runs the report they only see Employee 1 and 2

  • When Supervisor B runs the report they see Team Leader 1, Employee 3, 4, 5 and 6

What business value are you trying to achieve?

Enable reporting to dynamically allow managers to see their full hierarchy
