QR code file size and format

I would like to suggest that the image size for the QR code that downloads is increased to at least 500x500px, and secondly, if possible, for the file type to be PDF - a vector image is far more flexible (you can infinitely scale it, and a graphic designer can easily change the colour).


What business value are you trying to achieve?

In this current QR code friendly era, I thought I would make use of the QR code download from the link builder in the sourcing card, however noticed that the QR code that downloads is only 75x75px GIF. This presents some issues:

  • The size is too small to be used in print (e.g. a newspaper ad or a poster)

  • The GIF format, while OK, is also not very flexible for print - we cannot easily have a designer change the colour to our brand colour.
