Currently, applicants are allowed to edit their profile questions (employment and education) on the applicant portal, and those changes will dynamically update all previously submitted application forms that use profile questions. This has been raised as a liability concern for a few reasons:
1) The applicant can potentially make updates in the middle of the evaluation process, where the applicant may have been reviewed and deemed unsuitable at the time (not meeting requirements) as these updates are in transit. We would like to evaluate applicants on what they submitted originally and they can reach out if any updates should be considered post submission.
2) PU currently has no way to audit when profile questions are updated. The link that is made available on the application form to "view original responses" does not have any indication on when original responses were submitted vs. when they were updated. Also, the previously submitted responses is limited to one previous update, so if the applicant updates their profile questions more than once, not all updates will be reflected on the application.
3) When comparing current vs. original responses to profile questions, there is no easy way to identify what was actually updated.
4) Original profile question responses on the application cannot be printed when using the bulk-compile option.
Because of this, allowing customers to configure their applications to either allow or not allow edits to the profile questions based on the specific recruitment needs would be ideal.
