Dedicated Support Status Dashboard with Automated Incident Notifications for Administrators and Super Users

Create a dedicated Support Status Dashboard within PageUp that serves as a central source of truth for system health, known issues, live incidents, beta issues, scheduled maintenance, workarounds, and resolved issues.

Currently, system issues are published on a static Knowledge Portal page, requiring users to manually check for updates. If users do not follow the page, they may not be aware of active incidents. Even when following the page, notifications are not always visible or timely, resulting in administrators often discovering issues only after contacting Support.

The proposed dashboard would include:

  • Current Known Issues (active incidents under investigation)

  • Live Issues (critical service disruptions or outages)

  • Beta Issues (issues impacting beta or pilot functionality)

  • Scheduled Maintenance

  • Resolved Issues (including resolution details and timelines)

  • Published Workarounds for impacted users

In addition, automated notifications should be triggered whenever:

  • A new issue is raised

  • Issue status changes

  • A workaround is published

  • An incident is resolved

  • Planned maintenance is announced

Notifications should be targeted to System Administrators, Super Users, and designated customer contacts rather than all users, ensuring the right stakeholders receive timely updates without creating unnecessary system-wide communication.

What business value are you trying to achieve?

This enhancement would improve transparency, communication, and operational efficiency by providing administrators with real-time visibility of system issues and resolutions.

Key business benefits include:

  • Improved visibility of active and resolved issues through a single, dedicated platform.

  • Reduced support tickets and duplicate enquiries for known incidents already under investigation.

  • Faster incident awareness for administrators and super users through automated notifications.

  • Improved user experience by providing clear status updates, workarounds, and resolution progress.

  • Greater customer confidence and trust through proactive and transparent communication during service disruptions.

  • Reduced administrative overhead for both customers and Support teams by eliminating the need to manually check the Knowledge Portal or contact Support for updates.

  • Better operational decision-making by enabling administrators to quickly assess whether an issue is known, impacted areas, expected resolution timelines, and available workarounds.

Overall, this would establish a centralized and proactive incident communication model, ensuring key stakeholders remain informed throughout the lifecycle of a system issue.
