Include NextGen Position Descriptions in the UAT environment. VCU went live on 10/1/2025 with NextGen PDs; however, the NextGen Position Description "module" is apparently not available the UAT environment, so our UAT environment is a partial one that only contains the Applicant Tracking System/recruitment functionalities.

What business value are you trying to achieve?
Having a fully-functional UAT that mimics all modules and elements of our live production environment is critical for ongoing testing and training. The lack of the NextGen PD module in UAT forces us to test two key elements of functionality in production----position descriptions and raising/creating job postings from position descriptions --- which is problematic. Right now, we have to train new users in both the UAT and live production environments, which is not a best practice and is very confusing. In short, UAT should be a complete and full copy of production, and should include NextGen Position Descriptions. |
