Add Referral to the Source Drop Down Options

When creating a new applicant profile you should be able to select Referral within the Source Drop Down List

    You can configure application sources and application source groups in system settings.
    Search for "Application Sources". Referal is usually one of the defaults.

    There is also a way to configure a formal referal program to record the employees performing the referrals. (for example if you have a rewards program for referrals)
