We use a few different recruitment processes for different employment types, including one that doesn't involve advertising or approval (we self approve), it's just to get the job into the system so we can directly appoint or extend someone’s employment. It would be really helpful if we could customise the automated approval email notifications for each recruitment process. At the moment, colleagues are getting confused and mistaking this approval for the offer card approval in cases of direct appointments or extensions. We would like to be able to customise this email notification or the ability to turn off based on different recruitment processes would be even more helpful.

Customising automated approval email notifications based on recruitment process would reduce confusion among stakeholders, improve process clarity, and minimise errors or delays caused by misinterpreting approvals. This supports more efficient recruitment workflows, enhances user confidence in the system, and reduces the need for follow-up clarification or manual intervention. |
We would suggest having an approval process with specific comms or a single approver (yourself) so that the email is tailored, or not sent at all (in the case that it is yourself).
Also consider the feature "Auto job approval" (which may need to be turned on via Settings).
If enabled, jobs will be automatically approved where: the originator, and the first approver in the approval process are the same person.
Raising a job is often approval to proceed in itself but this feature allows for auto approval when the initiator needs to be added to the approval chain.
