Changes to displayed columns - settings to show by default or make optional in settings

Allow control of new columns added to pages to set if they are to be displayed automatically or to be an option the User can turn on. e.g. Manage Job Columns, My Jobs columns list

What business value are you trying to achieve?

Default behaviour for additions to columns displayed has changed. Normally any additions to columns displayed will be automatically visible to Users. With the introduction of Settings in the top of the page the User needs to know about the new column and turn it on. This means any column(s) we feel would be of use would not be immediately visible to users and potentially never seen - defeating the purpose of adding the column(s) in the first place.
