Change during approval process triggers a notification to past approvers to re-approve OR option to lock down job card to stop changes

What is the business process you are trying to achieve?
Currently if a change is made by an approver, any previous approvers are not notified of the change or asked to re-approve. This is problematic as a job may have been approved based on certain data, only to be modified post their approval.
2 possible suggestion:
1. Allow edits however re-trigger the approval process with a summary of what was changed since last approval.
2. to provide option to lock down the job card so that approvers cannot make edits. They would decline and inform reason for edits to be done by hiring manager before the approval process is started again.
