Learning - automatically mark as completed when attendance is marked

What business value are you trying to achieve?
At the moment, when learning activities are added to a learner's development plan they sit there until the learner 'marks as complete'.
We also, from an Super User end, mark attendance of the event.
Can we please reduce the double handling and make it so that when the Super User mark's attendance, those that have attended automatically move to complete on their development plan and those that are marked as non-attended it's removed from their development plan.
It also poses another time waster... If a learner doesn't attend but the learning activity event sits as booked on their development plan - when we go to book them in again it say 'already on this person's development plan' and thus we need to request them to remove it from their plan, then book them in. Lots of room for error and double handling
