Any time a learning activity has a due date, the communications should trigger to be sent - coming due, due, overdue emails - regardless of how the learning activity was assigned.

What business value are you trying to achieve?
When using the assignment roles with due dates on mandatory learning activities, during the initial time the courses are assigned, the learner receives overdue notices. Once those courses are expired and the course is assigned again, no notices are sent beyond this learning activity has been added to your development plan. Therefore, without additional notices, the learner does not have a sense of urgency from the system to complete the courses. This leads to less compliance with the mandatory courses. |
