Ability to manually select date for 'private' learning activities

What is the business process you are trying to achieve?
when a user creates a 'private' learning activity, the completion date defaults to the current date and can not be changed. would be great if this date field can be manually selected by the user. Otherwise, onus on user to create the activity on the day they attended, this is not feasible in most cases, and although they can put a comment in the field, when the records are exported in to a report, this field will not be captured.
Creates inaccurate records, particularly where users are utilising this function to track CPD points for a reporting period or financial year (i.e. insurance, financial services, accountants, lawyers etc.).
