Provide on/off setting that controls whether job can be closed if there are applications in current statuses

Provide an on/off setting that controls whether applicants must be dispositioned to non-current statuses in order to close a job. When the setting is on, users will not be able to close a job if there are applications in current statuses. When off, users will continue to see a warning if there are applications in current statuses, but can choose to ignore the warning if desired.

This could be a global setting or it could be specific to each recruitment process, requisition, etc.

What is the business process you are trying to achieve?

When applicants are moved to certain non-current statuses, we need to capture a deselection reason. These “disposition codes” are required for reporting and compliance purposes.

I am thinking a bit along the lines of a hard warning myself

Please look at Requisition status (job status) at the bottom of the job card - using an Archive status (e.g. Closed / Cancelled) should also bring up the Archive job page - it does not - so - you do not get the active applicant warning

Close - you do get a Date Closed applied

Cancelled - you get no date applied - inconsistent behaviour

Thank you for your feedback. The system prompt (to manage remaining applications in current status), when closing a job, serves as a soft warning that recruiters can ignore if they wish to (essentially warn but not block).

See the example job in UAT below, which is already closed/cancelled but still has two current applications.

Let me know if this helps.

Yes - make it impossible to close a job with active applicants

bane of my life dealing with active applicants on closed jobs
