Sort jobs on careers site by date advertised

For job listings on a careers site to display in order of the date they were advertised (sourcing open date), or to have a sorting function added to enable to sort jobs by date they were advertised.

Currently using the 'Search and Apply' feature, jobs can be sorted by 'Newest to oldest' or 'oldest to newest' but this applies to the last time a job record was updated e.g the last time the sourcing channel details were updated.

We have 3 instances of PageUp that all feed jobs into our careers site (not sure if any other clients have a similar set up), and this current sorting feature means the system will run a Job sync process on each instance and displaying the jobs in order of instance they came from, not in order of Date and time posted. This gives 1 instance priority over the others in terms of visibility of job ads in order, essentially showing all of 1 Departments ads and then showing all of another Departments ads.

A sort by date posted feature would be more intuitive for candidates wanting to see what new jobs have been posted.

What business value are you trying to achieve?
