Candidate Search – Enable Time-Based Filtering for Effective Headhunting & Talent Pooling

Please introduce a filter for candidate last application date (e.g. last 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 2 years) within Candidate Search.

This functionality is critical for two core use cases:

  • Headhunting from the existing candidate database

  • Building and maintaining targeted talent pools

Without a time-based filter, search results return extremely large and largely irrelevant datasets (often 50,000+ applications), making the feature impractical to use.

The existing last activity date filter does not meet this need, as it still returns candidates from significantly earlier periods (e.g. applications dating back to 2010).

What business value are you trying to achieve?

Business Impact

  • Prevents effective talent pooling for critical or hard-to-fill roles

  • Limits our ability to proactively engage relevant past candidates

  • Negatively impacts candidate experience and our EVP, as candidates must reapply instead of being nurtured for future opportunities

  • Reduces adoption and value of Candidate Search functionality
