We have over 11,000 employees in a 24/7 operation, with frequent supervisor changes every pay period. While our daily HRIS feed updates the information in the blue box on the Position Description (PD) page, the agency still must manually updates the Hiring Manager field.
It would be extremely beneficial if the HRIS feed could automatically update the supervisor name on the PD—just as it does in the Performance Review module, where supervisor changes flow in seamlessly.
Automating this update would greatly reduce manual workload, improve accuracy, and streamline PD management for large, complex agencies like ours. Under the current setup, it is nearly impossible to maintain accurate Position Description data without dedicating additional resources to these updates.
We have over 10,000 employees in a 24/7 operation, and a significant number of supervisor changes every pay period. Currently, while the HRIS feed we send daily updates the information in the blue box on the Position Description (PD) page, the agency still has to manually update the Hiring Manager field on the PD.
It would be extremely helpful if the HRIS feed could automatically update the supervisor name directly on the PD, similar to the functionality in the Performance Review module, where a supervisor change in the HRIS feed automatically updates the review to reflect the new supervisor.
Implementing this functionality would significantly reduce the manual work involved in these updates, improve accuracy, and streamline PD management for large, complex agencies like ours. With the current arrangement, it's nearly impossible to keep the system accurate and correct on the Position Description side without an additional resource allocated to these updates.
