Per step with more than one approver - choice to follow up reminders to delinquent approver only

Provide an option to send different messages based on whether the action has been completed or not, on the party's part. We currently have the option to send to the employee, the supervisor, and the 1-up manager. Can we have these overdue notices trigger based on whether they have or have not taken action, rather than if the step has concluded with all parties approving?

What business value are you trying to achieve?

Reduce the number of emails to individuals who have already done their part, which adds to their cognitive burden and may impact morale, as this is a tool to support the process. While it can be informative, it is causing more confusion. By having the option to send only a notice to the other party, this should reduce confusion and blame. This should support the ultimate goal of a performance process.
