Provide ability to manage documents associated with deleted reference checks

Currently, if you resend an invitation email to a referee, the original reference check is marked as deleted and can no longer be accessed via the "Manage references" pop-up. However, any documents attached to the original reference check remain visible on the applicant card and are included when downloading (compiling and sending) an applicant's documents. We need a way to manage these original reference checks and associated documents. Below are a few options that come to mind:

  1. Allow users to view deleted reference checks on the "Manage references" pop-up (e.g., add ability to filter for "Deleted" reference checks, similar to the filter for "Archived" reference checks). Also provide an option to "hide" deleted reference checks, which would hide the associated documents from the applicant card and prevent them from being included in the download.

  2. Provide the option to either resend an existing invitation or create a new invitation for an existing referee. Currently, resending an invitation creates a brand new reference check. We could adjust the "resend" function to simply resend a copy of the original invitation email (without creating a new reference check). We could also add the ability to create a new invitation/reference check for an existing referee (e.g., "Send/Create new") if there is a use case for this.

Ultimately, we want the ability to hide/remove documents associated with deleted reference checks and are open to any ideas on how to achieve this!

What business value are you trying to achieve?

We want to make it easier to locate and review an applicant's letters of reference (i.e., documents associated with their reference checks). This will help our administrators as they prepare materials for review by the search committees.
