What business value are you trying to achieve?
The number one thing is "we don't have time" and performance is an extra burden to have those conversations and document them throughout the year. This concept would ideally provide time efficiency and allow the manager to focus on refining and validating the content rather than starting from scratch. If done right, and I know other businesses are doing this, it would help identify and reduce the potential for bias. It could be set to be more useful, such as highlighting key strengths, providing action items, and remembering accomplishments. Not to mention it can help with clarity and assist in having a better, more targeted/aligned conversation that is meaningful to all parties. AND it can help with calibration. |
