Sourcing Closed Date Still Allows Applications to Pass Through

PageUp should allow a rule to execute if an applicant clicks "submit" after the sourcing close date their application status should automatically be ineligible and communication is sent to applicant stating the job posting has closed and is no longer accepting applications.

What business value are you trying to achieve?

We follow what is common practice that if an application is submitted after the job posting (aka sourcing closed date) then the application is not eligible to be considered. PageUp allows the application to come through after the sourcing closed date if the applicant started the application but did not "submit" prior to the closed date. PageUp says it is because the applicant is in the system at that point and their applicant can flow through. There is no way to prevent this with the current design.

John - Make the Invite to apply "Closing date" field mandatory.

Remove reference to Leave blank for no closing date.

    Hi Liz,

The "invite to apply" sourcing channel can remain open until the job is moved to a closed status (e.g., canceled, filled). Most customers use "invite to apply" to allow more submissions without necessarily opening a job ad. Changing the current behaviour would impact its intended use case and perceived value for other customers. Therefore, we will mark this as not aligned for now and revisit it if we receive more similar requests from other customers.

    Thank you,

    John Lorenzo

my understanding is there is a 2 hour window - if the applicant is working on their application when channel closes they are still able to submit if done before the 2 hour window closes. watch out for Invite to apply without an end date - leaves teh sourcing channel completely open - ensure date expiry used with invite to apply
