We have had a few candidates save applications to complete later, and when logging in to the candidate portal they see the deadline as xx AEST, despite our business currently operating in AEDT. If they're unfamiliar with Australian timezones they end up missing the closing date causing them panic, and us a lot of extra work.
The timezone is updated on our job ads but would like that functionality to be connected to the applicant portal for consistency.

What business value are you trying to achieve?
At the moment, application deadlines shown in the applicant portal for incomplete applications are locked on AEST despite us currently operating in AEDT. It has led to confusion with some candidates who had saved applications to come back to, thought they had an extra hour to apply and ultimately missed the cut off time for submission. |
We've had similar reports from applicants missing out on the closing time, and it's created a lot of extra work for our recruiters.
