I saw that we currently have a different communication template called "Position Description Approval Process has been Cancelled" which allows the email to contain "Cancelled Reason: "{CANCELLEDCOMMENTS}". My idea is that we do this same thing for this purpose but instead use "Declined Reason: {DeclinedNotes}", merging the info we provide in the dialog box after a decline into the body of that email. This would allow our team to provide more proactive messaging to our departments so they are looped in as to WHY a position is declined instead of us having to go in and make that additional manual contact. Not to mention, often we are not 100% who receives this declined PD communication in system communication templates.

What is the business process you are trying to achieve?
When a position description comes through and our team declines the PD, PageUp requires our team to provide notes and a reason as to why this PD is declined. These comments then get placed in the "notes" section of the position description. It would be incredibly helpful for the information it is requiring that we provide to automatically be merged into the declined PD communication which is provided to the recipients. Currently it says for the recipients to log into PageUp and access notes. This is not very helpful. Adding this as a merge field would be incredibly helpful. |
