On the “Update references” page of the applicant portal, applicants could send the initial invitation email to one or more of their referees. Applicants could also resend the invitation email when needed. The ability for applicants to manage reference checks could ideally be turned on/off (e.g., via a system setting or a setting at the application form level).
The information and functionality provided on the portal would actually be similar to the “Manage references” pop-up accessed from the applicant card. For example:
Applicants could see the status of the reference check (Invited, Invitation Expired, Completed). (This status is displayed on the current references page on the portal, but it would be great to display the information on the page in table format or otherwise make the status more visible/obvious.)
Enable the applicant to send the invitation emails.
Once the initial invite is sent, enable the applicant to resend the invitation email if needed.

What is the business process you are trying to achieve?
We want to enable applicants to manage the process of inviting referees to complete the online reference check form. This would reduce administrative workload in addition to empowering the applicant. |
