What business value are you trying to achieve?
I suggest to add to the learning imported a field for 'Send Notification' (Yes or No) which should make that toggle is on and accordingly will allow notification to be send when assigning courses via the importer and also will activate the due date reminder.

    It would be so helpful if the knowledge portal had a comparison on the different methods of assigning learning to employees and the pro's and con's of each.
